Glen Coe is a valley in the Scottish Highlands. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in Scotland and is part of the Ben Nevis and Glen Coe National Nature Area. The valley has a U profile shaped by a glacier from the Ice Ages, it is about 16 km long and the bottom is less than 700 m wide.
Glen Coe is a very popular tourist destination, partly due to its dramatic landscape and history, but also for its hiking and climbing opportunities. Apart from a few scattered farms, the only settlement is the village of Glencoe, which lies at the western end of the valley near Invercoe. Steve
