This is the Selkirk Settler built by Govan Shipbuilders, Glasgow, Scotland and named in 1983; now called the Spruceglen and owned by Canada Steamship Lines], a Great Lakes bulk carrier loaded with phosphates, crossing the North Atlantic from Tampa, Florida, USA to Ghent, Belgium caught in a storm on 13th February 1987. These photos were taken by Second Mate George Ianiev [now promoted to Captain Ianiev].
