Robert Barker, was an Irish painter. The itinerant Irish painter and portraitier coined the term "panorama", from the Greek, in 1792 to describe his paintings of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1793 he moved his panoramas to the first building built especially for this, in Leicester Square, and made fortune.
